2008 Southern California MAP Compensation and Benefits Survey of Accounting Firms OVERVIEW The Seventh Annual Southern California Management of an Accounting Practice (MAP) Compensation and Benefits Survey is now available for your participation. The survey has been developed to assist CPA firms with their compensation and benefits packages; the survey is a valuable tool for attracting, rewarding and retaining your employees. All information will be kept confidential and respondents will not be identified in the survey results. We ask participants to provide a name and address at the beginning of the survey to ensure that we provide all respondents with a copy of the written results once they are compiled. To ensure that we don’t receive duplicate forms from the same firm, please designate one person in your firm to complete the online form. The survey requires a user id and password so that participants can save their responses and return later to complete the survey. In order to allow enough time to process the results, we are asking firms to complete the survey before tax season. The deadline for this year’s survey is March 31st. FEES Survey Participants The fee for each participating firm is $75. This fee entitles each firm to a complimentary copy of the survey results as well as one complimentary attendance to the LA Chapter of the California Society of CPAs MAP Committee’s May 28th meeting, at which the survey results will be handed out and discussed. Non-Participants We are charging $150 for those firms that wish to receive a copy of the survey results, but have not participated in the survey. This fee also includes attendance at the May MAP meeting. Please note: The May MAP meeting will not be open to firms that have not participated in the survey or purchased a copy of the results.
