Mike Vanic is a partner of the law firm of Reish & Reicher. He practices in the firm’s litigation department, with special emphasis in ERISA, employee benefits and employment discrimination litigation.

Professional Experience
Mike has been engaged in ERISA litigation for over 25 years, representing plan sponsors, fiduciaries and service providers in a wide range of ERISA claims including fiduciary breach, denial of benefits, service provider malpractice, and other qualified plan and non-qualified deferred compensation matters.
Mike is a member of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference; the Labor and Employment Law, Litigation, and Torts and Insurance Sections of the American Bar Association; the Labor and Employment Section of the California Bar Association; the Labor and Employment Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association; and the Defense Research Institute.
Publications and Presentations
Mike is co-author of “Best Laid Plans: In Employee Benefit Cases, Corporate Officers May Find It Hard to Avoid Getting Stuck with Personal Liability,” in the California Law Business Supplement of the Los Angeles Daily Journal (July 8, 1996), and “Practical Advice to Avoid or Limit TPA Liability” in Journal of Pension Benefits (Spring 1996); and the author of “ERISA: A Pandora’s Box for the Uninformed” in the June 1995 issue of The Corporate Counsellor. Mike is also co-legal reviewer for Engagement Letters and Guidebook: CPA's Guide to Loss Prevention Practices, published by CAMICO Services, Inc. (1998/1999).
