CHARLES K. KOLSTAD Email: CharlesKolstad@Reish.com Charles Kolstad is Senior Counsel to the law firm of Reish Luftman Reicher & Cohen, specializing in the areas of corporate and tax law. Areas of Practice Business Tax, Estate Planning & Probate Professional Experience Charles concentrates his practice in the area of corporate, partnership and international tax matters. He assists clients in tax planning relating to the acquisition, dispositions and restructurings of business, corporations and partnership; and asset financing strategies, including gain-deferral strategies and tax-advantaged financing. He has advised start-up and emerging companies on a variety of corporate matters, including raising capital in the private and public debt and equity markets. Prior to joining the firm, Charles was a partner in the tax practice at Coopers & Lybrand, a partner with his own firm, Brand Farrar Dziubla Freilich & Kolstad, and a partner in the National Tax Group of Ernst & Young, LLP. Education Charles received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1979 and his Master of Business Administration from Columbia University in 1978. He graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Villanova in 1975. Charles is a frequent speaker at seminars, including the California CPA Foundation, and the USC Tax Institute. He is on the part-time faculty at California State University Northridge, where he teaches a class on International Business Law.
